Pinho Leaves PokerStars, Kaverman Sets Record, CPPT bestbet Begins

Henrique Pinho Leaves Team PokerStars Pro

One of two members of Team Pro Portugal is bidding farewell to PokerStars. Henrique Pinho has been a sponsored pro with the company for five years and did not give a reason for leaving.

On April 30, he posted to Facebook, “Today is my last day as a Team PokerStars Pro.” The translation of his post mentioned that he often felt like the king of the world during the five years, loving almost everything he did. He plans to use his experiences from the team to move on to other poker projects, as he wants to stay in the industry in some form, dedicating even more time to the game without the sponsorship responsibilities.

Byron Kaverman Sets WPT Record

According to PokerNews, Byron Kaverman cashed seven times during the most recent season of the World Poker Tour, which set a new single-season record. Of the 21 events on the Season XII WPT, he played in 14 and cashed in seven.

He told PokerNews, “I’ve had a fun and successful year at the WPT events, but as far as the record is concerned I could care less. I have never really considered records, such as most points or whatever, to be very relevant because at the end of the day it’s all about the result.”

CPPT bestbet Jacksonville Begins
