PPC Adds More Stops, WSOPC Philly in the Money

PPC Adds More Season 2 Stops

The Players Poker Championship Poker Tour recently announced the addition of several more stops to its Season 2 schedule. There are now 12 more tournaments this year in addition to the three that already took place.

The PPC heads to Florida for the Casino Miami Poker Classic from May 27 to June 1, and then the Dania South Florida Showdown June 3-8. The other new stop is also in Florida as part of the 2014 Ocala Poker Summer Splash. The Ocala Poker and Jai-Alai will host a five-event series from July 29 to August 3. The season will ultimately end with the October 15-21 Aruba World Championship.

WSOPC Philadelphia Soars into the Money

The World Series of Poker Circuit just finished its stop in North Carolina before heading over to Chester, Pennsylvania. Action started at the Harrah’s Philadelphia on April 16 with the preliminary events.

The $1,675 NLHE Main Event started on April 25 with two flights. The first brought in 146 players but ended with 47 remaining. Joe Kuether was the chip leader with 170K. The second flight added 182 entries with 60 making it through and Tony Tran overtaking the lead with 214,700 chips.

Day 2 started with 107 returning players and quickly announced the prize pool. With 336 total entries, the pool was set at $504K, enough to pay the top 36 players and save $115,920 for the winner. Play continued, and the bubble eventually burst in the evening hours when Joseph McKeehen eliminated Joe Galuzzo.
