The most recent Heartland Poker Tour stop was in Los Angeles at the Commerce Casino, and the Main Event brought in 577 players for a prize pool of $836,650. The top 54 players were paid, and the final table played out on September 23 with these results:

1st place: Kristopher Tong ($165,090)

2nd place: Shawn Motameni ($117,880)

3rd place: Mel Weiner ($75,800)

4th place: Huy Quach ($56,060)

5th place: Joshua Pollock ($42,080)

6th place: Quan Tran ($33,720)

7th place: Peter Hengsakul ($28,110)

8th place: Louis Werman ($22,420)

9th place: Allen Kessler ($12,300)

PCA Announces $10M GTD Main Event

The 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is set for January 5 to January 13 at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. The 39 events will include two High Roller tournaments, a women-only tournament, and numerous other offerings.

PokerStars announced details of the $10,300 buy-in NLHE Main Event, specifically that it will boast of a $10 million guarantee.

The 2013 PCA brought in 987 players, and the staff hopes that the new guarantee will attract an even bigger crowd.
