WPT Canada and WSOPC St. Louis in the Money, CPPT Atlantis Plays On

WPT Canadian Spring Championship Bursts Money Bubble

The World Poker Tour was at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal for its partypoker.net WPT National Canadian Spring Championship. The CAD $1,100 Main Event had a $1 million guarantee and offered reentries on the three starting days, and players were allowed to carry over the best stack.

Day 1A brought in 219 players, and another 308 entries joined in on the second starting day. The Day 1C added another 552 entries, creating a total of 1,079 and corresponding prize pool of $1,046,630. The top 126 players were to be paid.

Day 2 had 323 returning players with Pierre Guenette atop the leaderboard with 378,900 chips and Ricky Tang behind with 331,600 chips. The money bubble burst in Level 19 when Stephanie Goertz departed in 127th place, and the rest of the players were guaranteed at least $1,569.

WSOPC Lumiere Place in St. Louis Plays Day 2

The World Series of Poker Circuit was in St. Louis, Missouri at the Lumiere Place Casino for its most recent stop. Event 9 was the $1,675 NLHE Main Event with reentries, and the two starting days kicked off on March 28.

The first flight drew 172 entries, and the second added 240. A few more players entered before the start of Day 2 to set the field at 416 and prize pool at $624K. The top 45 players were going to be paid from that lump sum.

Day 2 started with 131 players at the tables. Timothy Vance bubbled the money midway through the day, and everyone else was guaranteed at least $2,820.

CPPT Atlantis Plays Final Day

The Card Player Poker Tour had been in Reno, Nevada for the Atlantis stop on its current tour. The Main Event was a $1,100 buy-in affair with a $125K guarantee and reentries allowed.

Day 1A attracted 65 entries and finished with only 12. Damon Shulenberger was the leader of the dozen with 142,100 chips. Day 1B added another 117 entries to make for a $176,540 prize pool, though only 27 players finished the night with chips. Ron Pease took the overall chip lead with 155,300 in his stack.

Day 2 returned with 39 players, and the top 18 were set to be paid. A grand prize of $47,665 awaited the eventual champion.
