WPT Florida and LAPT Brazil in Progress

WPT bestbet Open Seeks Final Table

The latest stop for the World Poker Tour during Season 11 is the WPT bestbet Open in Jacksonville, Florida. The Main Event started on April 26 with a $3,500 buy-in, a $500K guarantee, and double reentries. The two starting days resulted in a total of 351 entries for a $1,123,204 prize pool. The top 36 players were to be paid with more than $321K for the winner alone.

Day 2 took the field from 129 players to only 25, which meant the money bubble burst with Talesh Patel as the bubble player. Players like Ebony Kenney and David Tuthill cashed that night. Some of the early bustouts on Day 3 included Matt Giannetti, David Sands, and Tim Reilly. At the dinner break, the field of 10 was playing on until the final table of six was determined.

LAPT Brazil Finds Final Table

The Latin American Poker Tour started its current Main Event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on April 26. The Season 6 stop offered an R$4,000 buy-in tournament with reentries allowed. Two starting days resulted in a total of 750 entries and prize pool that exceeded $1.3 million.

Day 2 started with only 211 remaining players, and the bubble burst that day, courtesy of 121st place finisher Rodrigo Cariola. Many players exited in the money until play stopped with 31 left.
