WPT Venice: So Far, So Good for Team Danis

FPM logoDay 2 is in the books at the WPT Venice Grand Prix and, well, we’re still looking good!

Ludovic Lacay FPMTen of my 11 players are still in contention in Venice, including the two men at the top, reigning EPT Sanremo Champ Ludovic Lacay (GPI#326) and Finnish pro Lauri Pesonen (GPI#799), who is coming off a side event win at EPT London.

Mike Sexton (GPI#799) (GPI#844, Day 1B chip leader Fernando Cimaglia (GPI#493) and the #1 ranked player on the GPI, Marvin Rettenmaier all have a lot of chips and look to be in great position with 36 players remaining in the event.

With only 21 players getting paid in this event, the rest of my team – which includes Kara Scott (GPI#8282), WSOP bracelet winner Rocco Palumbo (GPI#153) and former November Niner (Pius Heinz) Martin Staszko (GPI#359) amongst others – will need to make some waves on Day 3 in order to make the money and score me some valuable FPM Points!

One side note:  This is the second straight event that both Giacomo Fundaro and Ludovic Lacay find their way on my team.  I had both players on my team for WPT National London.

Let’s take a look at my official team for the WPT Venice Grand Prix:

Kara Scott FPMMike Sexton FPMTEAM DANIS (Player, Chips – Start of Day 3)
Ludovic Lacay: 351,400
Lauri Pesonen: 287,300
Mike Sexton: 241,500 >>>

Best of luck to all at WPT Venice – time to start studying for Barcelona, Melbourne and Florida!

Lineups for WPT Venice are now locked but if you head on over to Facebook and signup to play the GPI Fantasy Poker Manager – you still have a plenty of time to make your selections for WPT Barcelona!
