WPTN London: My Team Down to Two

FPM logoDay 2 came and went on Sunday at the PartyPoker WPT National London and what started out as a promising day for my 11 players ended with only two players making the money and my hopes totally focused on a player with the ninth best chip stack and another with a shorter stack.

Manuel Bevand FPMTo be fair, only 27 players made the money as the bubble burst late in the day on Sunday in London.  But with Manuel Bevand (pictured) starting the day with a huge stack, an experienced Chris Bjorin running well and star players such as Ludovic Lacay, Ana Marquez and Lucille Cailly on the squad, I thought that I was in for a stellar performance at WPTN London.

But alas, I’m down to only two players with the final 27 set to return to the Aspers Casino in a few hours.   Now the news isn’t all bad as only a few players that made the money were actually eligible for WPTN London on the Fantasy Poker Manager App so, I’m not dead yet!

Giacomo Fundaro comes into Monday’s play with a Top 10 stack.  He has been playing solid all weekend and will hopefully continue to play solid poker later today and hopefully heading into Tuesday’s final table.  Fundaro survived a very strong field in Morocco to win his first major title back in November where he won WPT Mazagan.  Jeremy Nock, Davidi Kitai, Bruno Fitoussi, Paul Tedeschi, Guillaume Darcourt, Sebastien Compte, Bruno Lopes, Fabrice Soulier and Sergey Vasilev all earned Top 15 finishes in that event.

My last remaining player was running like mad for a while on Sunday.  Manig Loeser joins my team for the second time in less than a week.  Loeser was one of four players who scored FPM Points for me at EPT London.  Loeser finished in 37th position at EPT London, collecting 76 points for my team.  Here’s hoping for even more success for Loeser!

Let’s take a look at my official team for WPTN London:

Good luck to everyone that still has horses at WPTN London – it should be a very interesting end to this tournament – with the WPT Venice Grand Prix right around the corner!

Lineups for WPTN London are now locked but if you head on over to Facebook and signup to play the GPI Fantasy Poker Manager – you still have a plenty of time to make your selections for the WPT Venice Grand Prix!
