WSOP Main Event Betting Markets Open, Neymar’s Home Game

WSOP Betting Begins

Betting for this year’s WSOP final table is officially underway courtesy of Carbon Sports. One of the first operators to offer odds on the biggest final table of the 2014, the obvious leader in the betting is currently Jorryt van Hoof.

Currently the chip leader with 38,375,000 chips, van Hoof is currently 5/2 in the eyes of the odds makers which pits him just ahead of Felix Stephensen (7/2) in the betting.

Back-to-back November Niner Mark Newhouse is 4/1 to complete one of the most impressive WSOP Main Event performances in recent memory and if you fancy backing the underdog, Bruno Politano, then you can get around 15/1 in the current market.

This year’s WSOP finale is already shaping up to be one of the most intriguing ever with at least two stories waiting to be written. Indeed, alongside Mark Newhouse looking to etch his name into WSOP folklore, Martin Jacobson will be looking to claim his first bracelet.

Despite having multiple titles to his name, the Swede has yet to sample success in Vegas and with almost 15 million chips going into this year’s finale he could be a great outside bet at 15/2.

Neymar’s Home Game Heroics

He might not have had a chance to let his skills shine in the final stages of this year’s World Cup but Brazilian superstar Neymar is currently making an impact on the poker world.

After admitting that he’s partial to a round or two of poker after his exit from football’s biggest competition, Neymar recently posted a picture of his latest home game.

Whilst taking some time out to recuperate following his injury, Neymar put up an Instagram picture of his latest efforts at the felt.

Despite there being no visible bets at the time the photo was taken, it’s likely the €8.8 million per year earner won’t be afraid to put a fair sum of money on the line.
