WSOPC Rincon Final Table Set, McNulty Wins CPPT Palm Beach

WSOPC Rincon Final Table in Play

When the World Series of Poker Circuit made its way to San Diego, California, Harrah’s Rincon was ready to host the last stop of 2013. The $1,675 reentry NLHE Main Event was the main attraction, and it drew in a total of 330 entries for a $495,000 prize pool.

Day 2 brought 70 players back to the tables, but the money bubble burst and play continued late into the night to find the final table players. Ultimately, it happened when Chris DeMaci eliminated Thomas Beckstead in tenth place for $8,697. The final table was then set for December 16 as follows:

Chris DeMaci (1,356,000)

Erle Mankin (955,000)

Steve Firestone (907,000)

Paul Sokoloff (885,000)

Shahin Eduladju (630,000)

Robert Mather (575,000)

Mary Anne Madruga (573,000)

Sean Burson (371,000)

Craig Francis (353,000)

John McNulty Wins CPPT Palm Beach

The Card Player Poker Tour hosted a series of tournaments at the Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, but none as popular as the $1,100 NLHE Main Event with a $250K guarantee.

The first starting day brought in 161 players, though only 37 of them made it through. Chino Rheem was the chip leader with 398,100 in his stack. The second and final starting day brought in another 126 entries, out of which 22 players remained at the end of the night. Luke Brereton became the overall chip leader with 447,900.

The tournament numbers were set with 287 entries and a $287K prize pool, out of which the top 30 players were paid. Day 2 started with 59 players, burst through the money bubble so everyone could be guaranteed at least $1,926, and thinned the field. Along the way, Chance Kornuth exited in 23rd place and Chino Rheem in 19th.

When the final table was set late that night, it was Evan Teitelbaum in the chip lead with 1.2 million, followed by Sean Winter and Luke Brereton. Brian Hastings was also in the pack, and Ian O’Hara was on the short stack with 378K.

The final table belonged to John McNulty, who eliminated five players throughout the course of the 4.5 hours of action. He had a 2-to-1 chip lead over Brereton going into heads-up play, and the match was over quickly when McNulty took it down.
