WSOPE Event #5: €10,450 Mixed Max – No-Limit Hold’em Last 16 HU

The rather recent Mixed Max event is giving us something new in the habitual chip counting and poker reporting. The tournament started full ring, then went to short handed on day 2, and will now see the last 16 players play heads up for the gold bracelet.

No big clashes yet between high ranked GPI players, but Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier (GPI#1) will be playing Konstantin Pushkov (GPI#46). Elky being GPI#1 will however be in trouble, crippled to 18,000 chips. The 100% french match will see recent bracelet winner Roger Hairabedian (GPI#52) play Paul Teschi, with an equivalent stack. Chip Leader after day 2, Brandon Cantu, should have an easy game against Phil Hellmuth, holding 6 times as many chips as the Poker Brat. However, Hellmuth is seeking for a 13th bracelet and might not want to let it go easily.  Jason Mercier (GPI#2) is also still here but as a short stack, while Jennifer Tilly, chip leader after the first day, will have a tough game against Marvin Rettenmaier.

2 games will be played today and the last 4 will come back tomorrow for the final fight.
