Health Update on Kevin Boudreau

It has been months since poker player Kevin “PHWAP” Boudreau collapsed at the Rio during a break from a World Series of Poker event on June 14. Since that time, his family transported him to an acute care hospital in his home state of Colorado for long-term rehabilitation.

The most recent update from his family reveals that he had a second brain surgery and has been progressing through rehab by working five or six days each week. He has yet to be able to speak but is learning to communicate in other ways. He is learning how to perform basic life functions like getting dressed and brushing his teeth, though the limited function of the right side of his brain impedes some progress.

His family and girlfriend are supportive each day. Any inspirational emails for Kevin are welcome at [email protected].
