February 2014 GPI Player of the Month: Scott Seiver

Congratulations go out to Scott Seiver – Global Poker Index Player of the Month for February 2014:

STRONG SHOWING IN AUSTRALIA

American star Scott Seiver (GPI#14) earns Player of the Month honours following a strong showing at the Aussie Millions Poker Championship that saw him pickup two significants cashes Down Under.

Seiver qualified for final table play in the Main Event, eventually capturing the 7th position adding $170,000 AUD to an already impressive +9M USD in earnings on the live tournament circuit. Seiver also earned a 5th place finish in the 25K Challenge, accumulating another $265,538 AUD.

The former World #8 has moved up over 50 positions to GPI#14 on the heels of his performances at the Aussie Millions.

SEIDEL IS RUNNER-UP

Erik Seidel (GPI#11) is this month’s runner-up, finishing just four points behind Seiver for the February Player of the Month crown.

Like his American counterpart, Seidel also cashed twice during the Aussie Millions Poker Championship, first finishing just a few spots from Seiver in the Main Event, earning a 10th place finish.

Seidel would also score a 3rd place finish in the 100K Challenge, pushing his total earnings on the live tournament circuit to over 20M USD.
