March 2014 GPI Player of the Month: Keven Stammen

Congratulations go out to Keven Stammen – Global Poker Index Player of the Month for March 2014:

Keven Stammen GPIIt should come as NO surprise to see Keven Stammen (GPI#46) at the top of the charts for the month of March. Stammdogg simply couldn’t be stopped in March, picking up a total of five cashes, in events with buy-ins ranging between $1,500 and $7,500 USD.

The month started with a win in the 2K NLH Six-Handed side event at the L.A. Poker Classic. He then headed a few miles outside of LA to Rancho Mirage to compete in the Heartland Poker Tour California event, he would finish 11th.

A pair of scores on the World Poker Tour would follow: a 35th place finish at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star in San Jose and a 14th place finish at WPT Rolling Thunder, near Sacramento.

His California treck completed, Stammen wasn’t done poker as he made the quick ride home to Ohio in time to finish second to Nick Guagenti (GPI#680) at the Queen City Classic in Cincinnati.

Stammen has also taken over the 2014 GPI Player of the Year race, leading Polish young gun Dominik Panka by 39.19 points.

FILATOV IS RUNNER-UP

Three cashes at EPT Vienna see Anatoly Filatov (GPI#247) earn runner-up Player of the Month honours. Filatov finished 21st in the Eureka High Roller, 28th in the EPT Main Event and finally, was runner-up to Fabrice Soulier (GPI#66) in the EPT High Roller event, not a bad 10 days in Austria!
