EPT Deauville: My Official Team
We’re less than 10 hours away from FPM lineups locking for EPT Deauville.
First, let’s take a look at the four players we highlighted heading into EPT Deauville’s Day 2 play (Note: some selections were made prior to the start of EPT Deauville):
Vanessa Rousso 81,100 chips
Paul Tedeschi 17,600 chips
Anton Wigg Eliminated late on Day 1B
Yannick Bonnet 75,600 chips
And now a look at my own official team for EPT Deauville (note, Wigg was removed from my team due to his elimination, all three other “Players to Watch” (Rousso, Tedeschi, Bonnet) are part of my team:
TEAM DANIS (Player, Day 2 chip count)
Paul Tedeschi 17,600
Vanessa Rousso 81,100
Philippe Boucher 160,700
Yannick Bonnet 75,600
Zimnan Ziyard 112,600
ElkY 105,500
Nicolas Levi 83,400
Kent Lundmark 30,400
Jake Cody 50,600
Matthias De Meulder 98,300
Ismael Bojang 72,200
I like my team although I think I may be spread a little too thin. For this tournament, my strategy is to fill my squad so I have the most chances possible to collect points in the first event at Deauville. I recognize that I am very Euro-heavy, which means that I will need to make some changes when the circuit heads to America – especially when the WPT plays LAPC and the Bay 101 in a short amount of time.
ElkY, Ziyard, Boucher and Rousso are doing fine. ElkY said he had a terrible Day 1 – with over 100K in chips, I wish I had bad days like that! Boucher (a former WSOPE bracelet winner in Cannes) lost a lot of chips in the last hour of action – he would have been the chip leader had it not been for that bad streak to end the day.
Really like Bojang and Bonnet in this spot, but that’s just a gut feel.
Meanwhile, Tedeschi, Lundmark and even Cody are in trouble – they will need to get things going quickly on Day 2 Tuesday.
It will be interesting to see if I am indeed to thin and if I need to adjust my strategy by adding a few more “expensive” bodies in time for the next event.
