Ashton Leads as Final Six Battle for WSOP National Championship

Ashton, Polychronopoulos and Nitsche all in contention at the WSOP National Championship…

Reigning and defending WSOP Poker Players Championship winner Matthew Ashton leads the way as only six players remain as the hunt for the very first WSOP bracelet of 2014. Ashton holds a big lead at the top; he is the only player to hold over 1M chips.

Two other former bracelet winners are also in contention. Two-time winner Athanasios Polychronopoulos trails Ashton by a little less than 500K in chips while Dominik Nitsche, who won his bracelet at age 21, sits fourth as final day play is set to kickoff at Noon ET at Bally’s in Atlantic City.
