Chris Bell Breaks from Poker for Writing

Chris Bell is not a household poker name like Phil Hellmuth or Daniel Negreanu, but he has a wealth of experience at the poker tables.

Having played for well over a decade, Bell accumulated nearly $3 million in live poker tournaments through October 2013. Among his accomplishments is a World Series of Poker bracelet in a 2010 WSOP Omaha tournament, for which he won $327,040.

Where has he been? For the last several months, Bell seems to have been working on a novel.

The List (Volume 1)” was co-authored with Felicia Lynn and released in paperback this week. The Amazon book description indicates the fiction piece is set in a small North Carolina town. Main character Kip wants revenge for some wrong that has been done, but he faces numerous limits on the ability to do so, including his conscience.

Interesting!
