EPT Deauville: My Team – Done in Deauville

Sadly, my team is out at EPT Deauville … here’s a recap:

First, let’s take a look at the four players we highlighted heading into EPT Deauville’s Day 2 play (Note: some selections were made prior to the start of EPT Deauville):

Vanessa Rousso Eliminated on Day 3

Paul Tedeschi Eliminated on Day 2

Anton Wigg Eliminated late on Day 1B

Yannick Bonnet Eliminated in 83rd position

Rousso had an up-and-down tournament.  Some spots she looked unstoppable, others she was bleeding chips.  Tedeschi was never able to get things going, I’m a little disappointed with his results.  Many were stunned when Wigg went out on Day 1B, he was red-hot coming into the Main.  Finally, I’m very happy with Bonnet‘s performance.  I had suggested you to grab Bonnet on a flyer as lineups were about to lock … I’m very satisfied with his 58 points.

And now a look at my own official team for EPT Deauville (note, Wigg was removed from my team due to his elimination, all three other “Players to Watch” (Rousso, Tedeschi, Bonnet) are part of my team:

TEAM DANIS (Player, Day 2 chip count)

Paul Tedeschi Eliminated on Day 2

Vanessa Rousso Eliminated on Day 3

Philippe Boucher Earned 66 Points

Yannick Bonnet Earned 58 Points

Zimnan Ziyard Earned 62 Points

ElkY Eliminated on Day 2

Nicolas Levi Eliminated on Day 2

Kent Lundmark Eliminated on Day 2

Jake Cody Eliminated on Day 2

Matthias De Meulder Earned 60 Points

Ismael Bojang Eliminated on Day 2

Although many players were eliminated before the start of Day 3 play, I was really excited about what could be a deep run with the remainder of my team, especially Zimnan Ziyard who held a top chip stack for almost two days … sadly, Ziyard was out later on Day 3 – a day that included a one-round penalty for exposing cards out of turn – and one my big dogs was out, and I was shocked!

Another player that was running good was Philippe Boucher, a fellow French-Canadian that is a very entertaining man on Twitter – you should give him a follow @PhiLLeDINGUE … Boucher was card dead for most of the day and was one of the last players eliminated on Day 3.

As mentioned earlier, very happy that Bonnet gave a fine performance and Matthias De Meulder made a fine showing as well.

It wasn’t a good start to the day as Vanessa Rousso was eliminated shortly before the money bubble.  And ElkY not making it past Day 2 despite starting that day with a very good chip stack was, sadly, a sign of what was to come.

Overall, really happy with the way my 10K players (Boucher, Rousso, Bonnet) performed.  After I had called Salsberg’s success at the Borgata, I was hoping for a repeat final table performance here in Deauville.  But hey, I’m out.  Time to dust myself off and move onto WPT Seminole Hard Rock and start  ahead of Friday’s start of play.

I don’t believe I will be making too many changes to my lineup for the Hard Rock, we’ll have to see who’s left once Day 1B ends on Saturday.

Best of luck to everyone that has remaining players, go get ’em!
