EPT London: Day 1A | GPIPoY Smith In Contention

Day 1A play is in the books at EPT London and student Dhru Patel holds the early chip lead; however there are a few name pros with top chip stacks as well, including the reigning GPI Player of the Year:

PATEL LEADS DAY 1A

Dan Smith GPIPatel’s lead atop the Day 1A standings is a pretty significant one as he holds close to a 60K chip lead over his closest competitor – New Zealand’s David Yan (GPI#367).

2012 GPI Player of the Year after former GPI #1 Dan Smith (GPI#43) sits in 10th position after Day 1A. Patel has more than double the chips that Smith (pictured, right) has but we all know how easily that can change.

Yngve Steen (GPI#224), Mathew Frankland (GPI#802) and Peter Charalambous (GPI#1968) also hold Top 10 stacks after Day 1A.
