EPT London: Day 2 | Purice Leads After Short Workday

It was a short day at work today for the 106 players who survived Day 2 play:

PURICE PUSHES FORWARD

Chips GPIRomania’s Tudor Purice (GPI#2839) finds himself in relatively unfamiliar territory as the chip leader heading into Day 3 play. Purice has played in several EPT’s in the past but has only managed to cash once – last season in Barcelona.

Yngve Steen (GPI#224) – who owns four Top 10 finishes on the live tournament circuit so far this season – follows Purice in second place. Steen finished fourth in a $1,500 buy-in event at the WSOP this summer, he earned the biggest cash of his career, over 193K USD.

November Niner Mark Newhouse (GPI#1311) will also start Day 3 play with a Top 10 stack. Newhouse isn’t the first November Niner to enjoy success on the circuit since he qualified for the Main Event Final Table as J.C. Tran, David Benefield and Sylvain Loosli have earned cashes in the past few months.
