EPT San Remo – Day 3: Bubble Trouble

It’s bubble time on Day 3 of PokerStars’ EPT San Remo and that can only mean one thing: a media scrum. Like a pack of hungry wolves armed with notepads and cameras, the tournament’s reporters are currently on high alert as players fight to survive into the money.

With the clock ticking down we almost had the moment of truth as one player push his chips across the line and found a caller. In a second the table was swarmed, prompting the tournament director to call for all members of the media to move back and let the action commence.

After the scuffle had subsided, the hands were revealed and much to the dismay of the other short stacks in the room, the player with the least chips had pocket aces. What’s more, he was up against A-K.

The board offered little in the way of surprises and by the time the river had been dealt the awaiting press had already retreated to the rail, ready for the next sniff of an all-in.
