EUREKA Croatia Day 2 Latest, WSOP Betting, Kara’s Vegas Plans

Players Looking for a Eureka Moment

A few late additions to Day 1B of PokerStars’ EUREKA Main Event in Croatia pushed the total number of entrants to 283 and the overall prizepool over €250,000.

That means the top prize awaiting the eventual winner is €64,000 and currently leading the way as the 40th place bubble approaches is Bozso Achilles.

The Hungarian player had managed to scoop 379,500 chips at the time of writing and stood atop of the 69 players still in contention.

At the start of today’s session 105 players were still in with a chance of claiming the top prize, but in a frenzied start to the day a number of grinders have hit the rail.

Indeed, the day’s chip leader, Christian Kolke, found the pace too much to handle and suffered a huge fall from grace to hit the rail before the end of level 12.

Also falling by the wayside in the early part of Day 2 was: Adam Owen, Dimitar Aleksandrov and Marko Blazevic.

Bet on the WSOP

While Phil Hellmuth win another WSOP bracelet? Can Jason Mercier capitalise on his recent run of form? And, who will shine as the best player at this year’s WSOP?

All these questions are currently being asked by railbirds across the poker community with opinions varying amongst each.

Indeed, for those that aren’t able to attend the poker world’s biggest event, the temptation of predicting the flow of the festival is something that adds another level of interest.

Knowing this and being aware that some players like to have a flutter every now and again, PKR has just opened up their betting market for the WSOP.

Giving punters the opportunity to bet on a variety of outcomes, some of the most popular bets currently on offer are:

Phil Hellmuth to win a bracelet: Yes – 11/10 or No – 8/13

Daniel Negreanu to win a bracelet: Yes – 7/4 or No 8/13

Will a female reach the WSOP Main Event final table: Yes – 9/4 or No – ¼

Kara Looking to Feast on More than WSOP Chips

Kara Scott enjoys her life as a poker reporter and player and this year she’s certainly looking forward to the WSOP.

Indeed, in recent blog post she’s outlined a list of objectives for her time in Vegas and high up on her itinerary is eating.

According to the post she wants to “eat a lot” and “try not to get gout from eating so much”. However, it won’t all be lavish meals and naughty snacks; indeed, Kara is also looking forward to a daily dose of healthy meals at the felt courtesy of fitness guru, “All American” Dave.

In between playing, reporting for ESPN and eating, Kara will also be organising a baby shower for her friend, as well as catching up with some of the game’s top pros inside the Rio.
