Forrest Wins Heavyweight Fight

We haven’t heard much form Ted Forrest (GPI#12155) on the live tournament circuit in the past few seasons. In fact, Forrest’s last cash was 15 months ago. He choses to primarily play in cash games to earn a living, but on Sunday, Ted Forrest made sure that everyone knew he was still a world-class poker player and that he could still get it done on the big stage.

It was Forrest vs. the legendary Phil Hellmuth (GPI#328) – seeking to add a 14th World Series of Poker bracelet – in a clash of the titans, heads-up for gold in the $1,500 buy-in Razz event.

In the end, Forrest would prevent Hellmuth from collecting #14, adding the 6th bracelet of his poker career to his own trophy case. The atmosphere was electric and Forrest put on quite the performance inside the Amazon Room.
