GPI Tournament Report: EPT London, WSOPE Ladies, HPT, WSOPC + More

We take you to London, Enghien-les-Bains, Daytona Beach, Indiana, Barcelona, Aruba and Belgrade in this week’s GPI Tournament Recap:

EPT LONDON

Jeffrey Rossiter GPISweden’s Robin Ylitalo (GPI#451) won the Main Event at EPT London, defeating Greek Giorgios Karakousis (GPI#2153) heads-up. Australian star Jeffrey Rossiter (GPI#51) finished fifth in the event.

David Yan (GPI#365), Nicolau Villa-Lobos (GPI#900), Thomas Muehloecker (GPI#173), Yngve Steen (GPI#222), Salman Behbehani (GPI#99), Shannon Shorr (GPI#24) and Carla Sabini (GPI#1118) all finished in the Top 30 … a blast from the past, Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott (GPI#1951) finshed 31st.

Sorel Mizzi GPIEPT tour regular Jason Lavallee (GPI#671) won the High Roller event. Fellow Canadian Sorel Mizzi (GPI#19) was third in the event while Sabini, Devilfish and former EPT Champ Frederik Jensen (GPI#784) also cashed in the event.

In other side event action: WSOP bracelet winner Mark Radoja (GPI#132) defeated current GPI Player of the Year Ole Schemion (GPI#2) heads-up to win the 5K Turbo Six-Handed event on the last day of competition and Martin Jacobson (GPI#143) finally got hold of his first EPT trophy, defeating Eugene Katchalov (GPI#88) to win the 2K NLH event.

WSOP EUROPE LADIES’ EVENT

Jackie Glazier GPIAussie pro Jackie Glazier (GPI#551) won the inaugural ladies event at WSOP Europe in Enghien-les-Bains outside Paris, France. Glazier, who was the last woman standing in this year’s WSOP Main Event, collect her very first WSOP bracelet.

The last woman standing in the 2012 Main Event, France’s Gaelle Baumann (GPI#1341) also final tabled the event, she was the first player to make the money in the event.

HPT FLORIDA

James Calderaro GPICong Pham (GPI#873), who recently finished third at the WPT Borgata Poker Open, won the Heartland Poker Tour Florida event in Daytona Beach.

Pham defeated James Calderaro (GPI#3192) heads-up. Calderaro (pictured, right) finished second to Shawn Cunix at WPT Jacksonville in May of 2012.

Fifth place finisher John Holley (GPI#1360) already totals 23 cashes in 2013 – including a third place finish at the WSOP Seniors Championship this summer in Las Vegas.

WSOP CIRCUIT HORSESHOE SOUTHERN INDIANA

WSOPC LogoZal Irani (GPI#1298) won the WSOP Circuit Main Event at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana in Elizabeth.

Irani defeated the friendly duo of Michael Hann (GPI#6289) and Sean Lippel (GPI#2847) three-handed in order to win his first circuit ring.

WPT NATIONAL BARCELONA

Mihails Morozovs GPIRobert Eriksson (GPI#9058) won the World Poker Tour National Main Event at Casino Barcelona in Spain.

GPI300 member Mihails Morozovs (GPI#122) finished fourth in the event.

PPC ARUBA

Joe Ebanks GPIRobin Kazemieh (GPI#4787) defeated Joe Ebanks (GPI#486) heads-up to win the PPC Aruba World Championship.

PPC Aruba defending Champion, former WPT Player of the Year Joe Serock (GPI#22), finished in the event … meanwhile, WSOP Circuit Caesars Las Vegas winner David Tuthill (GPI#152) was fifth.

DANUBE POKER MASTERS

Danube MastersAndrija Cvetkovic (GPI#-) has won the Danube Masters High Roller event in Belgrade, Serbia picking up 1.9M Serbian Dinars … WPT Baden Champion Vladimir Bozinovic (GPI#2923) earning a third place finish.

Serbian Dragan Kovacevic (GPI#16688) won the Main Event.
