GPI300: Kitai, Negreanu, Duhamel moving up

A trio of WSOP bracelet winners keep trending inside the Top 10…

Ole Schemion GPIMake it 11 weeks in a row at the top of the GPI World Poker Rankings for German pro Ole Schemion (GPI#1, =). At 11 straight weeks, Schemion joins former World #1’s Jason Mercier (GPI#5, =) and Marvin Rettenmaier (GPI#76, -4) as the three men with the second-longest streaks in GPI history.

Triple Crown member Davidi Kitai (GPI#2, +1) returns to the 2 spot for the second time this season. After a successful 2014 campaign, the three-time GPI National Belgium Player of the Year has already scored points in five events in 2015.

Jonathan Duhamel (GPI#7, +1) moves up one spot to #7 this week, his highest ranking since holding that same position back on May 28, 2014. After dropping to a 28-month low #27 to start 2015, Duhamel has been on the rise, holding a place inside the Top 10 for seven straight weeks. The 2010 WSOP Main Event winner’s career-high ranking is #5.

Fellow Canadian, and recent Poker’s Best Ambassador award recipient at the GPI American Poker Awards, Daniel Negreanu (GPI#9, +1) also moves up one spot this week. Kid Poker could be in for another bump next week following a 35th place finish at the WPT L.A. Poker Classic, currently underway at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles. Negreanu’s 200+ points will be added to next week’s score.

Although there was some movement, all members of the Top 10 remain unchanged this week.
