GUKPT’s £1.75 Million Guarantee; WPT Ireland Schedule

GUKPT Guarantee Excitement Next Year

With the GUKPT’s Grand Final just a couple of days away the event’s organisers have already started look forward to next season.

With attendance figures this season being strong the Grosvenor Group has just announced that it will be injecting a guaranteed £1.75 million into 2013’s total prizepool.

Having taken steps to streamline their operation, the GUKPT’s top guys have decided to invest in quality rather than quantity and reward all their champions handsomely.

Indeed, in addition to the money on offer for winning a GUKPT event, players will also receive a free seat in the season finale which will boast a £400,000 prizepool.

In addition to adding value to their main events, the organisers have also pledge to reward side event winners with some extra money. Any player who tops a side event with a buy-in of £101 or more will receive an extra £2,000 on top of their prize.

The new initiatives will certainly prove popular amongst players. Indeed, with a £200,000 guaranteed event in London on February 24th kicking off the season, the action on the GUKPT in 2013 is likely to be buzzing.

PKR updates WPT Ireland

As one WPT event concludes, another one is already taking place across the world in Morocco.

Indeed, it seems the tournament bandwagon never stops for the WPT and in the last 24 hours PKR has announced an amended schedule for its Irish event.

Posted on their Facebook page, the staff at PKR have decided to make the €1,200+€120 main event a re-entry format.

As is becoming the trend in WPT‘s across the world, players can now rebuy in the tournament on Day 1B if they bust on Day 1A.

The news comes alongside an updated roster of events that encompasses a range of small to moderately priced side tournaments, as well as a €2,500+€200 high roller spectacle.
