Masa Kagawa Arrested for Scam

As first reported here, Masaaki Kagawa has been arrested in Japan and charged with running a scam that cost victims $3.9 million. The operation involved spam, Android malware, and a fake dating site that hacked customer information and conned people out of money on the dating site.

Kagawa has been a member of the high stakes poker community since 2007 and accumulated more than $1.5 million in live tournament earnings. His most recent cash was at the 2013 Aussie Millions, where he finished third in the AUD$100K Challenge for AUD$320K. He is also known to frequent high stakes cash games from Macau to Las Vegas.

Jackie Glazier Joins 888Poker

888Poker announced the signing of Jackie Glazier to their roster of poker players, which includes Shane Warne, Sam Holden, and Georges St. Pierre. She parted ways with Ivey Poker to sign the deal with 888. A new promotion will hail the new signing of “The New Queen of Poker” with a July 28 online poker event.

Glazier has been a live poker tournament player since 2008, and the Aussie has gained popularity for victories in events like the Australian New Zealand Poker Tour and the Melbourne Poker Championship. Her live tournament earnings are nearing the $1.2 million mark, and she most recently finished in 31st place at the 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event for $229,281.
