More Borgata Updates, WSOPC Final Table in Action, Lehavot Sells Action

Salsberg Wins at Borgata

Another well-known poker player has won a preliminary event at the Borgata Poker Open.

Event 19 was a $1,500 + $150 buy-in NLHE event that ran from September 14 to 15, and there were 93 entries to create a prize pool of $139,500. In the end, Matt Salsberg defeated Jesse Yaginuma to take home $47,360 and a BPO title.

WPT Borgata Poker Open Main Event Underway

The World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open Main Event began on September 15 with the first of two starting days in the $3,500 reentry NLHE tournament. The event also had a $3 million guarantee.

Day 1A attracted 376 entries, though only 166 of them survived the night. Cong Pham was the day’s chip leader with 191,025 chips, and he also won $5K for being the day’s chip leader. Besnik Ziba won $3,500 for second place with his stack of 183,375.

Day 1B added enough entries to create an as-yet-unofficial field size of 1,189 total players. The total prize pool will be announced later in the evening on the WPT Live Updates page.

WSOPC Biloxi Final Table Underway

The World Series of Poker Circuit was at the IP Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. The culmination of the series there brought the $1,675 NLHE Main Event into play on September 13. After two starting days, the field was set at 302 players and prize pool at $453K.

Day 2 started with 163 players, burst through the money bubble, and headed toward the final table. In the end, Robert Harwell was busted in tenth place by Gil George, and Harwell took home $7,959 for his finish.

The final table was then set for September 16 as follows:

Amir Lehavot Looks to Sell November Nine Action

The member of the November Nine who is second in chips going into the WSOP Main Event final table, Amir Lehavot, has decided to take an interesting step on the way there. He announced on Two Plus Two forums that he will sell 30% of the 80% that he currently owns of his own action, though this is only on any amount of money he may win if he finishes above ninth place. Investors can purchase one percent for $29,248.
