Negreanu on Millionaire Matchmaker; Kara Scott Speaks

Negreanu’s Looking for Love

Daniel Negreanu is to make another TV appearance in January, but this time he isn’t talking poker.

Taking part in Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker, Daniel will work with an astrology to find his perfect partner. The US TV show is presented by Patti Stranger and aims to match millionaire males with a future wife.

According to a tweet, Daniel will appear in Season 6’s first episode, which is set to air on January 10th.

Daniel seems to be taking the whole thing in his stride and seems more concerned with how his pierced ear looked in the show’s preview clip:

In the clip my earrings change ears several times! It’s a camera trick, only my left ear is pierced.”

For residents living in America a preview clip of the show can be found here. However, for readers across the world you’ll have to wait for the show to find its way onto one of the internet’s many tube sites.

Great Scott

Kara Scott isn’t just a pretty face at the felt; she’s also one in front of the camera. Living life as both a poker player and presenter, Kara is arguably one of the busiest women in the poker industry and during this year’s WSOP she got a unique insight into the action.

Having competed in a number of events, Kara had the privilege of working alongside the game’s best commentators, including Lon McEachern and Olivier Busquet, for the WSOP final table.

Always ready to talk about her experiences, Kara recently conducted an interview with PartyPoker’s blog.

In it she described how she calms down before a live broadcast, her greatest TV bluff alongside Mr. Busquet and how she’s looking forward to moving back to Europe.

Elie Going to Hell

Convicted payment processor Chad Elie is to face time in a New York maximum security prison dubbed “hell” by former inmates.

Elie, one of the men inducted in the Black Friday shutdown, had been sentenced by the DOJ a few months ago. However, he recently found out that his time inside will be one of New York’s toughest institutions.

The news came via a tweet earlier today:

@BlackFridayChad:BOP assigned me to a Maximum-security facility in NYC today for processing poker transactions! They want me to TURN into an animal.”

Much of the poker community has sent messages of support to Chad. Indeed, having exposed a number of truths in the Full Tilt situation, Chad has won the respect of many players in the poker community.
