New Season, New Site, New Sights

It’s a new poker season and with that, a fresh new look over at GlobalPokerIndex.com!

Fresh off the heals of the announcement that the Global Poker Index had acquired TheHendonMob.com, we introduce a brand-new looking GPI site that includes a sleek new layout, easier navigation and really cool player performance graphs and charts!

Our weekly GPI300 update will return next week and our popular GPInterview segments are also set to return shortly. Our revamped Player of the Month feature will also return in early August as the July race wraps-up in the next few days as well as our previews and reviews of WPT/EPT events and a few other features that we’re working on for you.

FANTASY FOCUS

Our “beta” season of Fantasy Poker Manager has come to an end and a brand-new year of Fantasy Poker is set to begin with WPT Cyprus and EPT Barcelona next month –  look for our review on the first season of FPM on Friday on GlobalPokerIndex.com.

SECOND SEASON KICKS OFF

The poker world has survived the WSOP hangover and it’s time for tournament poker once again! Play at the latest stop on the Eureka Tour in Bulgaria is currently underway, the Florida State Poker Championship kicked off earlier today and the UKIPT is set to host the biggest tournament in tour history in Galway, Ireland.

Meanwhile, the World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour are both set to kickoff their seasons in the coming weeks:

Season XII of the World Poker Tour begins in Cyprus where Marvin Rettenmaier is set to defend his title and improve on his #3 rank on the GPI. The WPT’s North-American premiere will come a few weeks later in Los Angeles with the Legends of Poker, one of the most historical events on the tour.

The EPT will once again open its season in Barcelona as EPT Barcelona is set to host some of the biggest names in the game in one of the hottest poker regions in the world as over 1,000 players entered the Main Event last August.

It’s another exciting poker season and it starts now, enjoy!
