PokerListings Gets APAC Gig, Ivey Gives NCAA Picks

PokerListings Named Official WSOP APAC Reporters

Caesars Entertainment announced that PokerListings will be the official provider of reporting from the upcoming World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific events in Melbourne. Live from the Crown Casino, PokerListings will offer chip counts, hand reports, hand-for-hand coverage of every final table, daily recaps and videos, winner interviews, photos, and blogs.

888poker will be the provider of the live streaming of each WSOP APAC event.

APAC starts on April 4 and runs through April 15 with five WSOP bracelet events, as well as High Roller and Caesars Cup tournaments.

Ivey Provides College Basketball Picks

NBC Sports, one of the major sports networks in the United States, published an Internet article about picking favorite teams for “March Madness” that surrounds the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) basketball games. The article begins: “If you’re going to take advice on filling out your NCAA Basketball tournament office pool brackets, you might as well go to a couple of guys who play poker for a living: Phil Ivey and Barack Obama. What’s that, you say? Obama doesn’t play poker for a living? You clearly know nothing of politics.”

President Barack Obama famously completes a bracket each year, and this year, NBC is comparing his to that of Phil Ivey. They claim the latter’s picks tend to agree more with Las Vegas odds.
