Poker Night in America Heads to Pittsburgh

The next installment of Poker Night in America, the third since its inception this year, will be at the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Pittsburgh Poker Open Winter Series consists of 28 events running from November 21 to December 2, culminating in a $1,100 buy-in NLHE Main Event with a $75K guarantee. Poker Night in America will also host a cash game to be filmed for television and live-streamed on the Internet on December 3. The $25/50 cash game requires a minimum buy-in of $5K and maximum of $20K.

Diovani Martinez Wins DSPT Panama

The DeepStacks Poker Tour wrapped up its most recent stop in Panama City, Panama this week with its Veneto Poker Carnivale tournament. The Main Event drew in 116 players for the $200K guaranteed NLHE tournament. The top 17 players were paid a minimum of $2,500.

Day 2 of the tournament thinned the field from 45 original players, ultimately working its way through the money bubble as Matt Schreiber was eliminated in 18th place with no money. Payouts began, and when the final table was set for November 11, Edgar Huerta led the pack with Giulio Oliviero close behind. But it was Diovani Martinez who soared and eventually captured the title, along with a trophy and seat in the upcoming ESPT World Championship at Mohegan Sun.
