Sell Wins MSPT Ho-Chunk, CPPT Prelim Results

Season 5 of the Mid-States Poker Tour was in full swing with a stop at the Ho-Chunk Gaming establishment in Wisconsin Dells. The $1,100 buy-in Main Event had a $200K guarantee, but the field grew to 393 entrants for a real prize pool of $368,072. The top 36 players were paid, and the final table finished with these results:

1st place: Jason Sell ($97,539)

2nd place: Nikolas Stone ($53,370)

3rd place: Ryan Jefferson ($35,335)

4th place: Taylor Tollefson ($23,925)

5th place: Michael Deis ($18,404)

6th place: Jun Kim ($14,723)

7th place: Travis Lauson ($12,882)

8th place: Daniel Buckley ($11,040)

9th place: Nick Jivkov ($9,202)

CPPT Atlantis Hosts Preliminary Events

The second season of the Card Player Poker Tour was at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada, for its fourth stop. The series consisted of 31 tournaments in all, leading up to a $1,100 NLHE Main Event March 28-30 with a $125K guarantee.

The early events posted results, some of which are as follows:

Event 3: $340 NLHE ($50K GTD) – 196 players

Event 6: $120 Omaha Hi/Lo – 68 players

Event 8: $340 NLHE Black Chip Bounty – 34 players

Event 11: $230 NLHE 6-Max – 32 players
