What a Comeback! Charania Reigns in Paris

A comeback for the ages! Find out how Mohsin Charania overcame unsurmountable odds to win the WPT Grand Prix de Paris …

CHARANIA-MANIA

Mohsin Charania GPIVasili Firsau (GPI#392) began the day with over half of the chips in play. By the time heads-up play began, Firsau would hold a 7:1 chip lead on his opponent … seems like someone forgot to tell Mohsin Charania (GPI#50) he was supposed to lay down and lose.

Charania began to chip away at Firsau’s lead right from the get-go. The 2012 EPT Grand Final Champion was relentless with his play. Eventually, Charania would take over the chip lead and at that point, there was no looking back for the Chicago pro.

What’s even more incredible is that Charania had the chance to win this very event last year as he, Timothy Adams, Philipp Gruissem, Fabian Quoss, Theo Jorgensen and eventual champ Matt Salsberg would wage war at the 2012 final table in the hopes of earning the WPT Grand Prix de Paris title. Twelve months, it’s Charania’s time to shine.
