WPT bestbet Jacksonville Main Event Final Table Preview

The WPT bestbet Jacksonville Fall Poker Scramble has reached its apex. The final six players will be making their way into the WPT Arena later today as Jared Jaffee looks for his first major title…

BIG MAN ON CAMPUS

Jared Jaffee GPIVeteran circuit pro Jared Jaffee (GPI#145) heads into final table play with a big chip lead and tons of experience on the live felt.

In a final table filled with players cashing in a WPT event for the first time, Jaffee’s track record already includes two WPT final tables and two WSOP final table appearances as well. On the WPT side, Jaffee’s final table appearances both came in 2010 where he finished fourth at the Southern Poker Championship in Biloxi, Mississippi and fifth at the Legends of Poker in Los Angeles. His most recent WSOP FT finish was this past summer where he finished third in Event #38 – NLH 4-Handed … Jaffee would go onto win the Aria Classic Main Event weeks after his big score at the WSOP.

Jaffee is an overwhelming favourite entering the final table holding a 2-to-1 chip lead on his second place opponent, Margo Costa.

IF NOT JAFFEE, THEN WHO?

Sure, Jaffee is heavily favoured to win it all later today in Jacksonville but we all know that favourite doesn’t mean “sure bet” in poker. If Jaffee were not to enter the WPT Champions Club, then Louisiana man Corrie Wunstel (GPI#611) could be the one to stand in his way. Wunstel, like Jaffee, has a lot of experience on the live tournament circuit having collected 32 cashes in his career, including four victories.

Wunstel’s biggest claim to fame came earlier this year when he ran very deep in the WSOP Main Event. Wunstel’s hard work earned him a 65th place finish for the biggest score of his live tournament career, $102,102 USD. Wunstel is part of the chase group that will hope to take some of Jaffee’s chips early.
