WPT Montreal Sets Final Table, WSOPC Changes March Venue, Bilzerian Wins

WPT Montreal Final Table Set

It was a tough field at Playground Poker the PartyPoker WPT Montreal. When the $3,850 NLHE Main Event began on November 29, players from around the world wanted in on the action. And with 862 entries, the prize pool was set at $2,738,435 for the top finishers.

Day 2 narrowed the field from 357 to 59, and that number was reduced to 18 on Day 3. Day 4 witnessed the playdown to the final table, and players like Jonathan Little, David Paredes, and Griffin Benger fell along the way. Ludovic Lacay exited in ninth place for $48,736, followed by Marco Cannizzaro in eight for $64,890 and Amir Babakhani in seventh for $81,593.

With that, the final table was set for December 5 as follows:

Seat 1: Serge Cantin (6,960,000)

Seat 2: Mukul Pahuja (5,945,000)

Seat 3: Derrick Rosenbarger (1,985,000)

Seat 4: Alexandre Lavigne (2,150,000)

Seat 5: Lily Kiletto (370,000)

Seat 6: Sylvain Siebert (8,435,000)

WSOPC Switches March Venue to St. Louis

The World Series of Poker Circuit announced that it is changing one of its scheduled stops for March 2014. What was set for Horseshoe Casino Cleveland in Ohio will now be at Lumiere Place in St. Louis, Missouri. The 12 events will take place from March 20 to March 31.

According to WSOP, the change was made because there was insufficient space at the Cleveland venue. In addition, Lumiere had long wanted the WSOPC at its facility, and the poker room is ready to handle the crowds.

Bilzerian Wins Over $10M in Cash Game

Dan Bilzerian reported to Twitter followers that he recently won $10.8 million playing a $5,000/$10,000 heads-up cash game. He claimed to have $13 million in front of him at one point and called it a “rush.”

There is no word on his opponent or the location of the game.

He then headed to Puerto Vallarta to relax.
