WPT National Latest, APAT’s Amateur Championships, EPT Deauville Begins
WPT National’s Record Prizepool
PartyPoker’s forthcoming WPT National event will boast a £100,000 prizepool when it hits Aspers Casino next month.
The third leg of the tour will run between February 27th and March 1st and see a schedule of side events crescendo with a £200 Main Event which will hold the largest prizepool ever see inside the London-based casino.
The increasingly popular event will take place over five days and feature three starting sessions. On top of that, the tournament will have an accumulator format which means players can enter on all three starting days and combine their finishing stacks at the start of Day 2.
Amateur World Championships Set
The schedule for the World Championship of Amateur Poker has just been released and listed on the roster is a number of interesting events. Organised by APAT and sponsored by Coral Poker, the low stakes festival is a chance for aspiring grinders to grab a slice of value and earn themselves a national title.
The festivities will kick off on Tuesday April 15th inside Aspers Casino, London, and feature a range of events with buy-ins starting from £55 up to £220.
In total 16 tournament will run until April 21st and player will be able to take part in everything from PLO, NLHE and Razz events to a heads-up championship.
The organisers are predicting that many of the tournaments will sell-out and they are urging interested players to buy-in directly through Coral Poker’s online platform, or visit APAT’s site and reserve a seat for £2.

EPT Drops into Deauville
It’s only been a few days since the EPT organisers packed up their tables and left the tropical shores of the Bahamas, but already they’re back in action. With the PCA now a fading memory, EPT Deauville got underway yesterday with the first in a series of major tournaments.
Partnering with the French Poker Series, EPT Deauville will play host to the €1,000+€100 FPS Main Event as well as a number of side events.
In total the French festival will include 45 tournaments, including a €5,000+€300 Main Event. Last year’s Main Event was won by Remi Castaignon after he carved his way past a field of 782 players to take the title and €770,000.
