WPT Paris: Hilmi Head of Day 1B Class

While Todd Terry (GPI#57) and all others who survived Day 1A play enjoyed a day off Saturday, 92 others decided to try their luck on Day 1B …

HILMI UNOFFICIAL OVERALL LEADER

While official chip counts from the end of Day 1B remain unofficial at post time, it looks like Hicham Hilmi (GPI#1412) will have a slight edge of Terry and carry the overall chip lead into Day 2. Hilmi won WPT National Annecy in May.

SECOND TIME A CHARM FOR CHAMPS

Matt Salsberg GPIAmongst the players eliminated on Day 1A were WPT Legends of Poker Champ Jordan Cristos (GPI#282) and Season XI WPT Grand Prix de Paris winner Matt Salsberg (GPI#46). While 1A wasn’t a good day for the WPT Champions Club members, Day 1B was a much better day for both. Cristos and Salsberg both move on to Day 2 with very respectable chip stacks, each making an appearance on our unofficial Top 10 chip counts.

Day 2 play is set for Sunday … players, don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour as France moves to fall back time overnight.
