WSOP-C and BPO Updates, Loosli Signs

WSOPC Biloxi Nears Main Event

Over half of the preliminary events at the World Series of Poker Circuit stop in Biloxi, Mississippi are complete, and the Main Event nears. The IP Casino began the series on September 5.

The latest results showed Event 6 ($365 NLHE 6-Handed) attracting 159 players for a $47,700 prize pool. Nolan Burton won it for $12,877. And Event 7 ($365 PLO) brought in 65 players, out of which Joshua Evans emerged victorious for a $6,825 prize.

Borgata Poker Open Underway

The Borgata Poker Open continued in Atlantic City more than a week after its start, and the Main Event was finally in sight for the weekend.

Meanwhile, Event 11 ($400 NLHE Deepest Stack) found a field of 482 players for a $168,700 prize pool. Larry Franks defeated Brian Polixa to take home the $41,808 first place prize. And Event 12 ($450 HORSE) drew 112 entries for an exciting final table that found Allen Kessler out in third, Salvatore Pipitone gone in second, and Joseph Palma winning $13,038 as the last player standing.

Loosli Signs with Winamax

It was recently announced that the sole French November Niner Sylvain Loosli signed a sponsorship deal with French online poker site Winamax. Loosli is one of the mid-stacked players who made the World Series of Poker Main Event final table this year and is set to return to Las Vegas in November to play for more than $8.3 million.

Loosli is a high-stakes cash game player but does find games he enjoys online. He also plans to play more online tournaments in preparation for his November Nine appearance. Loosli will also play live tournaments, including the WSOP final table, as a Winamax Team Pro.

“Joining the Team gives me the best possible chance of becoming world champion. With help from the rest of the team, I will be fully prepared and have the best possible chance at the final table,” he said. “I just need to remind myself that I only need to beat 8 out of the original 6,352!”
