WSOP-C Biloxi and Borgata Poker Open Updates

Schwartz Picks up WSOPC Ring

The World Series of Poker Circuit stop at the IP Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi is moving right along, having started on September 5 and running through September 16.

After Ylon Schwartz finished second in Event 1, he did one better in Event 5, the $365 NLHE tournament. Out of a 154-player field, he won the title, ring, and $12,474 first place prize money.

The $1,675 NLHE Main Event will begin on September 13.

Borgata Poker Open Underway

The Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City began on September 3 to large crowds and substantial fields.

The first event was a $560 buy-in NLHE event with a $2 million prize pool guarantee, but the field of 4,482 players pushed that prize amount up to $2,241,000. The four-day tournament resulted in Maksim Rozenfeld taking down the title and $363,091, beating Daniel Wach, who took home $235,627 for second place.

Event 4 was a $560 NLHE Deep Stack event that brought in 345 players, and Eric Rappaport beat out Vitor Coelho for the title and more than $45K in prize money.

Event 6 was one of the bigger buy-ins, a $1,090 NLHE tournament, and there were 159 entries to create a $159K prize pool. Will Failla won that event over Jonas Wexler for $46,269.

Event 8 was a $560 buy-in NLHE Deeper Stack event with a $500K guarantee, and the field of 1,056 players created an actual prize pool of $528K. Johnson Nguyen defeated Andrew Jeffrey for that title and $111,360.

The WPT Borgata Poker Open Main Event is a $3,500 buy-in NLHE tournament with reentries allowed and a $3 million guarantee. Action begins on September 15 with two starting days and a final table scheduled for September 20.
