WSOP Europe: Event #1 | Glazier Gets It Done
The first event at the 2013 World Series of Poker was short and sweet and Jackie Glazier (GPI#551) made the best of it collecting her first ever WSOP bracelet:
AUSTRALIA’S NINTH BRACELET
Following in the footsteps of Joe Hachem, Mel Judah (2), Gary Benson, Jarred Graham, Andrew Hinrichsen, Aaron Lim and Mark Vos, it’s Glazier’s time to shine as she picks up a ninth bracelet for Australia.
Glazier, you will recall, was the last woman standing in this year’s WSOP Main Event. She finished 31st in the event.
This wasn’t Glazier first deep run in a WSOP event. In 2012, she finished second to Greg Ostrander (GPI#680) in the 3K No-Limit Hold’em bracelet event.
Another final table participant who knows all too well about being the last woman standing finished in seventh position. Gaelle Baumann (GPI#1341), who was the unfortunate October Nine final table bubble in 2012, came into today’s Day 2 play extremely short. Baumann was able to play her way into the money and although her cash today wasn’t for a big amount, it still may just be a sign of what’s to come for the French star.
