WSOP Europe: Event #2 | Johansson Wins NLH Re-Entry

Make it two in two for Team 888 players. After 888 Team Pro Jackie Glazier won the Ladies’ Event on Saturday, it’s 888 VIP member Henrik Johansson turn in the winners’ circle:

SWEDES IN STRIDE

Jackie Glazier GPIJust days after Robin Ylitalo (GPI#451) won EPT London, it’s Johansson – yet another Swede – who wins big. Johansson’s win earns him €129,700.

Speaking of EPT London, Daniel Laidlaw (GPI#156), who ran deep in the Main Event and who’s been running extra-hot the past few months, final tabled this event, finishing in sixth position.

American Daniel Weinman (GPI#343) and Belarus’ Andrey Konopelko (GPI#637) also final tabled the event.

SCHWARTZ LEADS IN MIXED-MAX FINAL

We’re down to the Sweet Sixteen in the NLH Mixed-Max event, all remaining players are in the money as WPT Prague Champ Marcin Wydrowski (GPI#164) was eliminated in 17th position, causing the money bubble to burst.

WPT Champions Club member Noah Schwartz (GPI#21) will lead the way once final day play begins on Wednesday. Schwartz is followed closely by Shannon Shorr (GPI#24).

Fellow GPI300 members Joe Kuether (GPI#94), Dan O’Brien (GPI#124) and Nikolaus Teichert (GPI#243) remain in contention as are November Niners Mark Newhouse, Marc-Etienne McLaughlin and some guy named Ivey, Phil Ivey.
