Lewis, Schleger, Hortin Highlight WCOOP Results

Online poker players, it’s time to shut down to laptops, turn those computer screens off and enjoy a little rest and relaxation … oh, and before you think of going to sleep for a few days, I should remind you that EPT London starts tomorrow!! After 66 events, the latest edition of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is over and done with.

SCHLEGER, HORTIN COME CLOSE IN MAIN

Dylan Hortin GPIWith over 10.6M USD on the line, a trio of German players took the Top 3 spots in the WCOOP Main Event. “PlayinWasted”, Daniel Drescher (GPI#6418) and “SwissCantMis” came to agreement and played on for the small portion of the prize pool remaining and for the titlle … PlayinWasted ended up on top.

Veteran poker pro and PokerStars Team Online member Shane Schleger (GPI#2306) and Dylan Hortin (GPI#1119) – who final tabled two events at the 2012 WSOP – both final tabled the WCOOP Main.

LEWIS, CHIDWICK WIN BIG

Stephen Chidwick GPIToby Lewis (GPI#21) is the highest ranked member on the Global Poker Index to end the WCOOP with a title. Lewis collected just under 190K USD for his win in NLH Turbo Event #6. Fellow UK poker pros Stephen Chidwick (GPI#381) and Zimnan Ziyard (GPI#128) also collected a WCOOP wins.

GPI300 member Darren Elias (GPI#234) and former WSOP 50K Poker Players’ Championship winner David Bach  (GPI#416) were two other name players who earned a W during the WCOOP.

Jason Mercier, Joseph Serock, ElkY, Liv Boeree, Dan Smith, Viktor Blom and recent EPT Barcelona Champ Tom Middleton were just a few of the big name players to final table events during the month-long WCOOP festival.
