Leonid \\\”Alexey\\\” Bilokur is a Ukrainian professional poker player who made his first live-event cash in 2010. In the first 2 years, Leonid cashed 14 times, made 8 final tables, won 4 events including an event on the EPT and the PCA High Roller event in 2012, and earned over $1.5 million.
In March 2010, the 36-year-old Leonid made his first live event cash at the EPT Germany in Berlin, where he cashed twice. To start his career, he had a string of 5 final table appearances in a row, which began when he entered the field 277 runners to win the €2,000 NLHE EPT event and collect €174,000. Three days later, he finished 5th in the €200 NLHE Turbo.
At the Mediterranean Poker Cup, he made the final table in the €500 NLHE, and won the $100 VIP super satellite for $5,300. To finish the year, Leonid won a €300 Super Satellite for €2,000 at the PokerStars Russian Poker Series Sharm El Sheikh, and took 10th in the €2,000 NLHE at the 2010 EPT Prague.
In 2011, Leonid cashed 7 times, starting with a 3rd place finish in the World Cup of Poker event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure to earn $12,500. He then cashed at the France Poker Series Paris Finale, in the Main Event at the RPS Kiev, and finished 36th for €20,000 in the €5,000 NLHE Main Event at the EPT San Remo. Next, he was at the EPT Grand Final in Madrid, where he finished runner-up in the €2,000 NLHE 8-Max Bounty event to earn €26,100. In December, he wrapped up the year in Prague, where he made the money in both the WPT and EPT Main Events.
Leonid won a qualifier on PokerStars that he used to attend the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January 2012. Once in the Bahamas, he entered a field of 141 players to compete against some of the biggest names in poker in the $25,000 NLHE 8-Max High Roller event, and made it to the final table. As players fell by the wayside, Leonid found himself heads-up with Team PokerStars Pro and 2010 WSOP Main Event winner Jonathan Duhamel. Although Duhamel had Leonid out chipped 2-1, and kept the pressure on by continuously trying to outplay him, Leonid never gave up, eventually making a full house to bust the World Champ. For his victory, Leonid collected the coveted trophy, a stunning €10,000 bracelet, and $1,134,930 – the biggest paycheck of his career.
