WPTN Brussels: Keep an Eye on Timothy Reilly

FPM logoNOTE: This article has been released prior to the start of  WPT National Series Brussels.  Please be sure to verify following the end of Day 1 play that this player has qualified for Day 2.  UPDATE:  Reilly has made Day 2 play with approx. 24K in chips.

Although he’s been on the poker scene for a few years now, Timothy Reilly’s (GPI: 278) coming out party on the live tournament circuit started a few months ago and looks to continue this weekend in Brussels.

Reilly, originally from Massachusetts, is now playing out of the Netherlands.  His live tournament surge started in December, where he ran deep (actually held the chip lead for a while) in the DeepStack Poker Tour National Championship at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.  Reilly would end up finishing 20th in the event.

He then went on to finish second in the Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge in his home state, just days after his score in Connecticut.

A few smaller cashes followed in the PCA Main Event and the Borgata Winter Open Championship at which point Reilly made his way to France.

Reilly’s played shined on Day 1A at EPT Deauville.  At the EPT Live Feature Table with Vanessa Rousso, Reilly was playing some solid poker.  He even folded a hand versus Rousso that will be talked about for years to come.  His strong play continued and he earned a 90th place finish in the event.

But Reilly wasn’t done in Deauville just yet.  He went on to finish second in the High Rollers event, losing to Vojtech Ruzicka heads-up yet earning the biggest score of his live tournament career.

The stage seems to be set for Reilly to continue his rush at WPT National Series Brussels.  He has had success with larger and smaller fields during the current run.  He seems very comfortable with his newer European surroundings.

Timothy Reilly (USD/NED) | GPI #278 | FPM 10,000
Best WPT National Brussels Result: Never cashed
Career WSOP, WPT, EPT: 0 win, 4 cashes,  $64,600

Why should I add Reilly to my team?
> Solid results at every tour stop for a few months
> Great bargain
> Seems to run good in small and big fields alike
> Confidence level should be at its peak at the moment
