FPM EPT Prague: Five Players For Your Consideration

FPM logoThe European Poker Tour is back in the limelight as the final events on their 2013 play out in Prague. Included in those events is the highly anticipated EPT Main Event where 1,000 players are expected to do battle in beautiful Prague. 210 of the 389 players who entered Day 1A play will make their way to Day 2 on Saturday while the Day 1B participants are currently battling as we speak.

We offer five players for your consideration when putting together your Fantasy Poker Manager squads for EPT Prague …

ALAN “ARI” ENGEL

Ari Engel GPIWe don’t know what else there is to say about Ari Engel (GPI#184). Four wins, 16 Top 10 finishes and 38 cashes so far this season on the live tournament circuit – a fantastic 2013 campaign! Engel has dominated the US circuit this year and now he takes his show on the road at EPT Prague.

Engel ended Day 1A with a whole whack of chips. He’s currently the #1 available player on FPM following Day 1A play … adding him to your squad is a no-brainer, that’s for sure!

End of Day 1A chip stack: 172,800

ANARAS ALEKBEROVAS

Anaras Alekberovas GPIIf you subscribe to the PokerNews GPI Update Podcast – and why the heck wouldn’t you 🙂 – you know both Rich and I are big fans of Anaras Alekberovas (GPI#89). In fact, during Episode #4, I went so far as to say that the Lithuanian would win either EPT or WPT Prague – a bold prediction, sure, but he’s in great shape after Day 1A play at EPT Prague.

Alekberovas always seems to be in contention early in big tournaments, let’s hope he pushes all the way to the final table this time around.

Come on Anaras, make me look good!

End of Day 1A chip stack: 115,600

JANNICK WRANG

This has been a quiet year on the live tournament circuit for 2012 EPT Campione Champion Jannick Wrang (GPI#1177). That having been said, Wrang did succeed at EPT Berlin earlier this year … the Danish pro cashed in four tournaments in Berlin: 1 win, 1 runner-up finish and two 10th place finishes – not a bad festival!

End of Day 1A chip stack: 97,700

WALID BOU HABIB

Walid Bou Habib GPIWhen Walid Bou Habib (GPI#192) plays in a EPT Main Event, you can usually count on him earning a you some points! In the past fourteen months, he has earned cashes at EPT San Remo, Deauville, London, Berlin and Barcelona. His Deauville run took him to the final table where he ended up finishing in second position, loosing to Remi Castaignon heads-up.

His EPT Main Event career includes a total of 10 cashes and close to 1M USD in earnings.

End of Day 1A chip stack: 91,300

AMIR LEHAVOT

Amir Lehavot GPIAmir Lehavot (GPI#71) has taken over on Day 1B in Prague. Already someone we had our eye on earlier in the day, Lehavot is the unofficial chip leader through six levels at EPT Prague.

Already a solid player on the live tournament circuit, Lehavot’s career reached its pinnacle earlier this year when he qualified for the WSOP November Nine. Lehavot ended up finishing third in the World Series of Poker Main Event, earning over 3.7M USD for his efforts.

Currently playing Day 1B (120,000 chips through Level 6)
