The Card Player Poker Tour was at the Choctaw gaming facilities in Durant, Oklahoma, for its most recent live event stop. The $1,500 buy-in NLHE Main Event with a $500K guarantee drew 735 players over the course of two starting days, and that created an actual prize pool of $1,103,091. The top 81 players were paid.

Many recognizable faces made it into the top 20, including Allyn Jaffrey-Shulman, Jim Carroll, and Larry Wright. Ultimately, the final table took place on August 5 with Mo Abedi-Arani overcoming a severe chip deficit during heads-up play to claim victory.

Team 888Poker continues to grow with the signing of two Brazilian players to its roster of sponsored pros. Bruno Kawauti recently finished in 15^th place at the 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event, and he consistently cashes in events like the Brazilian Series of Poker. Nicolau Villa-Lobos won the UK & Ireland Poker Tour Edinburgh Main Event in January of 2013, made a deep run in the 2012 WSOP Main Event, and took second in the Brazilian Series of Poker Rio Main Event in 2012.
