PCA in the Money, Trickett Joins Royalty

PCA Main Event Bursts Money Bubble

The first two days of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10K Main Event brought 987 entries into play, which made for a prize pool that exceeded $9.5 million. Only about 500 of those players made it through their respective starting days, and Day 2 brought that number down to only 166.

Day 3 took the players into the money in the second level of the day, when Robert Mizrachi was on the winning side of the bubble hand, and the remaining 144 players were guaranteed $15K payouts. The first to cash was Tim Reilly, followed by Fatima Moreira de Melo, George Danzer, and Shannon Shorr. Some others who followed in the evening hours were Dwyte Pilgrim, Matt Glantz, Michael Mizrachi, and Matt Stout. Play ended with only 59 players remaining and payouts in the $26K range.

The chip leader going into Day 4 was Patrick Kelly with 1.75 million chips, followed by Joe Serock with 1.32 million and Darren Elias with 1.04 million.

Meanwhile, some of the many side event winners included Joshua Bergman in the NLHE “Win the Button” event for $37,464, and Marcel Luske in the HORSE event for $18,500.
