Barry Greenstein Donates Lessons for Charity

The veteran poker pro collaborated with the World Poker Tour to raise money for the WPT Foundation. Barry Greenstein offered a private, two-hour poker lesson to take place during the WPT’s L.A. Poker Classic in February, as well as dinner and social time with Greenstein at the Commerce Casino after the lessons and one night’s accommodation at the Crown Plaza.

The lessons were listed on the CharityBuzz website and bidding closed on January 9. The estimated price for the package was $5,000 but the winning bid took it for $2,050. Funds will go to WPT Foundation to support non-profit programs via philanthropic efforts.

Phil Ivey Hires Dan Shak

IveyPoker, the instructional poker site that has yet to launch, recently added Shak to the list of instructors. Phil Ivey asked Dan Shak to join, and the latter accepted his first sponsorship of any kind in poker because it was an “honor to be part of this team” and in order to give back to the poker community.

The high stakes poker player first wore the IveyPoker patch at the 2013 PCA.
