Stars Volunteer, Cailly Signs, Rousso Teaches

PokerStars Employees Volunteer

Last week, the Isle of Man endured a snowstorm that put thousands of sheep and cattle at risk of death. Employees at the PokerStars headquarters decided to help, so about 60 of them left work for the day and dug through snow to try to save the livestock. They joined a large group of others who helped local farmers save the animals that were in danger, digging through drifts up snow up to nine-feet high.

Reportedly, an undisclosed number of animals were saved due to the efforts of everyone involved.

Lucille Cailly Joins Team Ivey

Phil Ivey’s IveyPoker signs Lucille Cailly as the 32nd professional poker player. She joins names like Jennifer Harman and Dan Shakon the instructional poker site that plans to launch in the coming months.

In GPI’s exclusive interview with Cailly, she said, “The great thing about the site is that it’s going to be more than just a typical software. The teaching platform will allow people to improve their game through an extensive catalogue of videos from a great roster of players.”

Vanessa Rousso Teaches Workshop

Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso will be teaching a workshop entitled “Reading People and Decoding Human Behavior.” The seminar will begin at 1:00pm on April 7 at the VIP Poker Room establishment in Kahnawake, close to downtown Montreal, Canada. The free mini-camp is available to all poker players.

Those in attendance will then be invited to play a $50 tournament with Rousso at the recently-opened poker room at VIP. There will also be an opportunity to take photos with Rousso and obtain autographs. Players can call or visit the VIPPokerRoom.ca website for registration.
