World Poker Tour Completes Season XII Schedule

The World Poker Tour has released the 2014 portion of its Season XII schedule. The schedule includes the previously released news about the WPT World Championship moving to Borgata:

LAPC, BAY 101 MOVED BACK, bestbet JAX MOVES UP

Chino Rheem GPIThe 2014 leg of the schedule begins, just as it did last year, at Borgata in Atlantic City for the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open. As mentioned, Borgata also gets to bookend the schedule as it will host the WPT World Championship, the first time the tour’s Championship event won’t be held at Bellagio in Las Vegas. The World Championship’s buy-in also gets a face-lift as it goes from the standard 25K USD buy-in to 15K for its Atlantic City debut.

The popular L.A. Poker Classic and the fan-favorite Bay 101 Shooting Star were moved back a bit. The good news is that both events will still be played within days of each other. Those travelling to Los Angeles will be able to head straight to San Jose!

Kevin Eyster GPIThe WPT Jacksonville bestbet Open moves up a month and will be played shortly after the completion of the Shooting Star. Meanwhile, the WPT will once again return to the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida for the highly anticipated Seminole Hard Rock Showdown, which will feature a 10M Main Event guaranteed prize pool.

The Lucky Hearts Poker Open will also return to Florida, however, it will move from the Seminole to the Seminole Coconut Creek.

Missing from the 2014 schedule are events in Baden, Venice, Barcelona and Montreal .. although Montreal’s signature event, WPT Montreal, is still featured on the 2013 portion of the Season XII schedule. WPT Montreal will also play host to the partypoker Premier League for the first time.

The WPT also announced its next stops on its Regional and National tours.
